KL University provides semester-wise tuition fee concessions to students securing top ranks in KLUEEE.. The concession percentage varies for different rank categories,. Eligibility for KLUEEE Scholarships 2026

The students who desire to get KLUEEE 2026 scholarships will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Rank / Merit Condition

The student should be a rank holder in KLUEEE or any accepted entrance test (or satisfy the board exam / CGPA conditions typically above 7.5) to be eligible for merit concession for the tuition.

• Admission into a Qualifying Course

The student shall be admitted into the relevant engineering branch (or other qualifying course) of KLU. Only those who have been admitted can get concessions.

• Continued Performance

From the second semester onwards, the student should get the same CGPA / grade level in the same subject as was represented when the concession was awarded; otherwise, the fee waivers will be canceled.

• One Concession Rule

A student may be entitled to many concessions (i.e., merit + category-based), but KLU gives only one concession/fee waiver at a time, viz., the best possible.

• Other Concessions/Special Categories

KLU has a 100% concession for any state topper (of the central/state board), but it is subject to rules.  Some other category concessions are there for SC/ST, OBC/BC, ex-servicemen, and physically handicapped, in addition to merit category concessions.

You should take the following steps to apply for rank-based scholarships.

• Fill Out the Admission/Program Application

Students must enter their entrance rank/board exam marks/ CGPA in the relevant fields.  Ensure that the facts are correctly stated, since that will determine whether you are going to get a fee concession or not.

• Submitting Relevant Proofs

Students should submit scans or hard copies of their rank cards, board mark sheets, CGPA certificate, and category proof, if any. The submitted documents are then verified by the university.

• Fee Concession/Waiver

Before finalizing the options, all students should verify the published categories and fee concession tables, such as the “KLU Special Scholarships for Engineering Courses,” to determine which category they fall under into.

• Admission Offer and Fee Challan Showing Fee Concession

In case they are eligible, the admission offer/fee challan generated by KLU  will reflect the discounted fees after applying the waiver. Before making the payment, ensure that the concession is rightly reflected.

• Pay Fee to Confirm Admissions

The semester fee, i.e., tuition (after waiver) & other dues, has to be paid within the date to confirm admission and application for concession.

• Maintain Performance in Subsequent Semesters

To maintain the waiver in subsequent semesters, the required CGPA/performance level will have to be maintained. The concession might need to be withdrawn if you fail to do so.

• Clarifications & Appeals

In case of discrepancy of any kind (e.g., your concession has not been applied or rank has not been considered), KLU Admissions or KLU Finance may be contacted with the required proof (rank card, concession table etc).

• In the cases of CSE, AI & DS, BT, board CGPA figures of 9.40 / 9.30 / 9.20 represent the 50% / 35% / 25% scales of concession.

• In the case of ECE etc., CGPA figures such as 9.20, 9.10, 9.00, 8.50, 8.00 entail the quotation of such percentages as 50% / 35% / 25% / 15% / 10%.

• And in the case of the state board percentages, such as 96.50%, 95.00%, 93.00% etc., KLU has indicated its disposition to make grants in the scales of 50% / 35% / 25% etc.

• These concession percentages are only applicable to the tuition fee part of the fee structure; all other fees, such as lab fee, infrastructure fee etc., are to be borne separately.

• The scales have been published only in respect of the engineering courses, and possibly in respect of others, the concessions applied would be on a different basis.
