MAHA TET Exam 2025
has two papers - Paper 1 is for those who want to become teachers for Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for those planning to teach Classes 6 to 8. Both papers carry 150 marks in total, with 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark, and there is no negative marking. The questions are based on the class-level syllabus as per the paper chosen.
The core subjects are different for both papers. In Paper 1 of MAHA TET 2025, the syllabus has five subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. For Paper 2, which is for upper primary teachers, the syllabus for MAH TET 2025 has four parts: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, and the Subject Concerned, which can be either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science.
