The National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by one of the NITs on a rotating basis. Securing a good rank in NIMCET is crucial for securing admission to MCA programs at participating NITs.
MCA Admissions in India Through NIMCET 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to get admission to MCA through NIMCET 2025 need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Nationality: Indian Citizen
- Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree (BCA, BSc (Hons), BSc, BIT) with Mathematics or Statistics as a subject under the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.

- General Category: Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
- SC/ST Category: Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
- Appearing Candidates: Final year students awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

- Go to the official website of NIMCET at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
- Click on the registration link.
- Fill in all the details and complete the registration process.

Admission to MCA programs at participating NITs is based solely on the rank secured in NIMCET. Shortlisted candidates are then called for counseling based on their rank, category, and seat availability in their preferred NITs.
