Minimum Eligibility Requirements for CAT 2019

CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24, 2019. CAT online application forms will be available from August 7, 2019, onwards. As students gear up for CAT, it is important for them to know all about the CAT 2019 eligibility criteria.

We all know that CAT is a national level management exam conducted at the post-graduate level. And if you have completed your Bachelors’ or are in your final year of UG college you can appear for CAT 2019 . CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24, 2019.

So, if you are thinking of giving the Common Admission Test 2019 then, make sure that you are informed about the eligibility requirements as well as other queries related to CAT 2019.

Is there a standard eligibility criterion to write CAT 2019 irrespective of the student’s qualification being UG, PG or still pursuing UG?

You must fulfil one of the following criteria to apply for CAT 2019:

Completed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% or more in your Bachelor’s degree
Completed professional degree (For example, CA) with the required percentage.
Should be pursuing the final year of Bachelor’s degree. However, the student has to submit proof of passing out Bachelor’s within the time frame mentioned by the college & with the minimum required marks. In the event of failing to do so, the college can cancel the admission of the student.

If a student has completed a Master’s degree with 81%, will he be eligible to apply for CAT 2019?

Even if a student has completed a Master’s degree with 81%, he will be eligible to apply for CAT 2019 if they have obtained 50% or more in the Bachelor’s degree.

Are candidates who have done 5 years integrated course of B.Tech and MBA eligible?

Yes. Those who have done 5 years integrated course of B.Tech and MBA should have secured a minimum score of 50% or more in your Bachelor’s degree. He/she will enter the aggregate percentage of Bachelor’s Degree and separately for the Master’s degree.

Is any relaxation given to any candidate?

SC/ST/PWD candidates are allowed a relaxation in marks and should have minimum 45% to be eligible to apply. For General and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum percentage is 50%.

Dear Kamaldas ,LPU offers scholarships for the PhD in Management mainly based on performance in the LPUNEST (PhD) entrance test. Higher scores receive higher scholarship categories, which can significantly reduce the program fee. Candidates with NET, JRF, GATE or equivalent national-level qualifications receive even larger scholarships and fee relaxations. LPU also provides its own Research Fellowship, which offers a monthly stipend to selected full-time scholars based on merit and research potential. For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, LPU provides a relaxation in eligibility criteria, making it easier to qualify for admission. The scholarship is merit-based, not caste-based.

LPU Online courses are considered good and credible, as they are recognized by the UGC-DEB and offer a flexible, industry-aligned curriculum via an efficient Learning Management System (LMS). To gain admission, you must sign up on the LPUADMIT portal, apply for the course, and then clear the necessary eligibility criteria or entrance process, which often involves the LPUNEST (LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test).

I need to apply for LPU certificate. Please help!

To obtain a certificate from LPU, access the University Management System (UMS) portal using your login details. Navigate to the "Certificate Request" area, complete the digital form, attach required documents like ID and fee receipts, and submit the online payment. You can track your application status directly via UMS.
