KIIT University BTech + MTech dual degree in Biotechnology is a 5-year full-time integrated program that combines undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) studies into a single course. The dual degree program is offered only in Biotechnology and does not include any other specialisations. It focuses on advanced subjects such as genetic engineering, bioprocess engineering, bioinformatics, immunology, and microbiology. The total Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology BTech + MTech fees is INR 17.50 lakh, which is paid semester-wise.

Admission to the program is fully merit-based and depends on the candidate’s performance in the KIITEE entrance exam. Applicants must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology and secured at least 60% aggregate marks.

KIIT University BTech + MTech dual degree in Biotechnology follows a semester-wise fees  after seat confirmation through KIITEE counseling. The total tuition fee for the 5-year program is INR 17.50 lakh. In addition, one-time admission charges are payable at the time of admission. Hostel fees range from INR 64,000 to INR 1,40,000 per year based on room type, mess fees are charged separately.

Candidates applying for the BTech + MTech dual degree program at KIIT University must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology combined.
• Should have completed regular, full-time formal education from a recognized board.
• Must meet the age criteria, as specified in the official KIIT University admission brochure.

KIIT University admission to the BTech + MTech Biotechnology program is completely based on the KIITEE entrance exam. The step by step admission process is given below:

STEP 1: Fill the Application Form Before the last date.

STEP 2: Upload Your Documents Photograph, Signature & Marksheet.

STEP 3: Appear for KIITEE Entrance Test (Online Examination).

STEP 4: Appear for the Counselling.

STEP 5: Pay the Seat acceptance fees.

The application process for the KIIT University BTech + MTech (Biotechnology) dual degree is conducted fully online through the KIITEE portal. There is no application or examination fee. The step-by-step process is explained below:

• Visit the official KIITEE website at kiitee.kiit.ac.in and click on “Apply Now” for KIITEE 2026.
• Complete the registration by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, and selecting BTech + MTech (Dual Degree) Biotechnology as the program.
• Log in using the generated credentials to access the application form.
• Fill in personal details, including parent/guardian information, address, nationality, and category.
• Enter academic details of Class 10 and Class 12 carefully and accurately.
• Choose preferred examination centers from the available options.
• Upload the required documents, including a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and Class 10 marksheet, in the prescribed format.
• Review all details thoroughly before submission.
• Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
• Check the portal regularly for admit card updates and appear for the online KIITEE exam.
• After the results are declared, participate in the online counseling process for seat allotment.
