AILET B.A. LL.B Admission 2026

The National Law University of New Delhi conducts it’s own national entrance exam for admission to LL.B, LL.M, and Ph.D programs. The B.A. LL.B admission at the NLU is conducted through the All India Law Entrance Test or AILET is conducted annually every year.

AILET 2026 Admission Confirmation Fee Details

After the AILET 2026 merit list is released, students are required to pay a total of Rs. 50,000/- admission confirmation fee to accept their admission. The same process will be repeated after each round of counselling, and the final admission fee of the students will be adjusted later on.

What After AILET 2026 First Merit List is Released?

After the Round 1 AILET Counselling 2026 provisional merit list is published, the laynent window for admission confirmation will be open for students from January 8 to 14, 2026. During this period, students will have to pay the admission confirmation fee and the category-wise counselling fee to confirm their seats as allotted by the counselling committee.

AILET Counselling 2026 Eligibility

The following are the eligibility criteria to be considered for the AILET Counselling 2026:

• A feature on the category-wise invitee list.
• A minimum of 45-50% marks in higher secondary.
• No compartment or partial qualification in the academic marksheets in higher secondary.

AILET Counselling 2026 for Reserved Categories

Reserved category students who are participating in the AIILET Counselling 2026 are required to submit the following documents for verification:

• Caste Category Certificate
• OBC Certificate issued under the Central List of OBCs or under the Delhi State List of OBCs on or after April 1, 2025.

Provisional AILET Second Merit List 2026

The AILET 2026 Provisional Second List of shortlisted candidates will be released on January 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The payment facility for this round of selection will be open from January 21 till 27, 2026, upto 11:00 AM.

AILET Counselling 2026 Seat Reservation

The AILET Counselling 2-26 Seat Reservation policy for all student categories are as follows:

• 50 seats for the General Category
• 22% seat for OBC Catgory
• 15% seats for the SC Category
• 7.5% seats for the ST Category
• 10% seats for the EWS Category

AILET Counselling 2026 Document Specifications

All important documents for the AILET Counselling 2026 must be self-attested by the candidates. The documents must be submitted in a scanned PDF file format, with clearly visible fronts.

The first provisional AILET Counselling 2026 merit list is set to be published on January 8, 2026. The merit lists will be published separately for each rounds of counselling on the online counselling portal.

AILET Counselling 2026 Seat Matrix

The NLU Delhi has announced 120 seats for B.A. LL.B admissions through the AILET Counselling 2026. As per the seat reservation policy, there are a total of 50 seats for the General category students, 24 seats for the OBC category, 17 seats for the SC category, 8 seats for the ST category, 11 seats for the EWS category, and 10 seats for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO.

Steps to Register for AILET Counselling 2026

The steps to register for the AILET Counselling 2026 are:

• Visit the official NLU website.
• Login to the online counselling portal.
• Check for your "Invitation for Counselling" notification.
• Process to the application form filling process.

AILET Counselling 2026 Invitee List

The AILET Counselling 2026 invitee list will be available on the official website for students to access. One will have to log in to the online portal using their credentials to check whether they have been invited for the counselling registration. An online invitation via SMS or Email will be sent to the candidate’s registered contact details as well.

The National Law University of Delhi will conduct the entire AILET Counselling 2026 process in online mode only. The important notifications related to the counselling process will be published on the official NLU Delhi website.

Mode of AILET Counselling 2026 Fee Payment

The mode of fee payment for the AILET Counselling 2026 registration is online. Students can use either of the following methods to complete their registration fee payment: Credit, Debit Card, Net-banking, or UPI.

AILET Counselling 2026 Shortlisting Process

The AILET Counselling 2026 shortlisting process is conducted based on the merit list and exam results. Three candidates will be selected to compete for each available seat in all the respective student categories.

The online registration fee for AILET Counselling 2026 is Rs. 30,000/- for the General category students, and Rs. 20,000/- for the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category students.

According to the official NLU Delhi notification, the last date to apply for the AILET Counselling 2026 Registration is December 27, 2025, till 11:00 AM. The registration link will be available today from 6:00 PM onwards.
