CLAT Second Allotment List 2026: Detailed Freeze and Float Instructions
Candidates must choose between the given options and pay the confirmation fee within the deadline to secure or upgrade their allotted NLU seat.Freeze Option
- Choose Freeze if you are satisfied with the allotted NLU and do not wish to participate in further rounds.
- Pay the non-refundable Confirmation Fee within the given timeline.
- Candidates freezing seats in the second round must pay the remaining University Fee by April 24, 2026.
- Once frozen, the candidate will not be considered for any further allotment rounds.
Float Option
- Select Float if you want to keep the allotted seat but aim for a higher-preference NLU in upcoming rounds.
- Payment of the Confirmation Fee is mandatory to activate the Float option.
- If upgraded in later rounds, the previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
- Float is available only up to the fourth counselling round; candidates must Freeze or Exit in the final round.
Exit Option
- Opt for Exit if you no longer wish to participate in CLAT counselling.
- The allotted seat will be released for reallocation.
- Refund of the counselling registration fee is applicable as per the refund rules, though the Confirmation Fee will be forfeited if already paid.
