The Medical College of Guntur got permission to launch a course in Cardiology on 19-March-2016 . Speaking at the press meet college dean said "we applied to the NTR Health University for the introduction of Cardiology course in the month of November-2015. Finally the university has granted permission for the course which will be implemented in the academic year 2016-17".
The duration of the course will be 3 years where exams are conducted semester wise. The intake of the course is 25. The selection procedure would be based on the common entrance test conducted by NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
The press meet was attended by college management, faculty, print and electronic media.
