Maharashtra state has announced the results of HSC Board. The result for the Kolhapur section was 88.10%. More than 5% of the students in the division scored more than 75% in the HSC results which were released on Tuesday, said Kolhapur divisional board officials.
Of the 1.20 lakh students who appeared for the exam from the division, 6,543 students cleared it with distinction, which comes to 5.42%. As many as 35,897 students scored between 60% to 74% and got first class, while a major chunk of students, 59,559, scored between 45% to 59%. Education experts said that a majority of students scoring below 60% indicates that things need to improve.
"This year HSC Result was a very good from Kolhapur divison. The students have a good performance in Kolhapur. This success will be the creation of a student's confidence."
