The Patna University Student Election has been scheduled to be held in the month of August 2016. The PUSU election is going to be held after a total of 3 years. The decision for the holding the election in august has been taken in the leadership of Pro-VC Mr. R.K Verma. The Pro-Vc has also informed that the elections would be held on the basis of Lyngdoh Committee.
The minimum age for contesting the elections would be 22 years for UG students, 25 years for PG students and 28 years for the research scholars. Prior to this year, the election was held in the year 2012, which was after a gap of 28 years of the universities working sessions. The students of Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) are not eligible to fight the elections.
