- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The maximum age limit for general candidates is 28 years.
- Candidates must have passed a recognised board's Senior Secondary (12th) test or its equivalent. Candidates in the General category must receive at least 50% of the possible points, while SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyang/Widows/Divorced Women must receive 45%.
- As long as they pass the exam prior to the counselling procedure, students taking their 12th-grade exam in 2026 are also qualified.
