TG EDCET Exam Date 2026 AnnouncedThe TG EDCET exam date 2026 has been announced and it will be conducted on May 12, 2026. The registration process is expected to begin in March 2026 onwards. The official schedule for the entire exam process will be released soon. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based entrance test format and students will be given 2 hours to complete the exam paper. The EDCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted for aspiring teachers to pursue a 2-year B.Ed. degree in the state. The Kakatiya University, Warangal, will conduct the entire process on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

The exam date for TG EDCET 2026 is out, although the datesheet for the entire exam process has not been released yet. Students, in the meantime, can refer to the tentative datesheet provided here for an idea of the expected timeline:

Students who have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in any subject can apply for the state-level entrance test if they fulfill all the remaining requirements. The minimum marks to be eligible for taking the entrance test is to secure at least 40-50% marks in the qualifying degree. Those who have a degree in Engineering or Technology must have Mathematics and Science subjects in their curriculum. Additionally, all the applying students must be at least 19 years of age as of July 1, 2026.
