UGC NET Answer Key Dec 2025:
The UGC NET provisional answer key has been released by the NTA. It is made available on the official website at
ugcnet.nta.nic.in
on January 14, 2026. Along with the question paper and recorded answers, the UGC NET Answer Key Dec 2025 is made available. The final answer key and result will be generated in accordance with the subject experts' representations. With the answer key having been released, candidates shall challenge the provisional answer key through their login ID. All challenges will be considered, and accordingly, the final answer key and results will be declared. The direct link to download the answer key, along with the expected cutoff details, is provided in this live blog.
You may challenge the provisional answer key from January 14 to 17, 2026, up to 11:50 PM through the official website. You will have to pay Rs 200 per question to challenge the answer key, which will be non-refundable. The payment should be made before the deadline for the objections to be considered.

As per the schedule, the UGC NET December 2025 exams were held from December 31 to January 7, 2026, for a total of 85 subjects across multiple exam centres through the CBT mode of examination. You may check your expected scores by calculating the number of correct answers. According to the marking scheme, each correct answer will earn 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers. UGC NET Answer Key Dec 2025: Normalization Process
The results of applicants who took the test in several sessions are compared using the UGC NET normalisation procedure that NTA has approved. The ratings of each candidate are then normalised using percentile scores. The final results will be released in percentile format along with the actual scores obtained by them.

The validity of the passing certificate for the candidates who have passed the UGC NET December 2025 exam will be for a lifetime. The candidate will be eligible for recruitment at any time from the date of the issuance of the passing certificate after the results have been declared.

UGC NET Answer Key Dec 2025: Qualifying Marks
In papers 1 and 2, the qualifying scores for the General and EWS categories are 40%, while the qualifying scores for the reserved categories are 35%. You must score the minimum required qualifying scores to meet the passing criteria. Until the qualifying marks are obtained, the candidate will not be issued the certificate.
