Bihar Board Class 10 Social Science Exam Pattern 2025-26 gives information about the question paper pattern and the weightage allotted for each unit. The Social Science exam will be based on 50% multiple-choice questions, carrying 1 mark each, and 50% subjective-type questions. The BSEB 10th Social Science exam will be held for a total of 100 marks, where 80 marks will be allotted for the theory exam and 20 marks for the internal assessment. Bihar Board 10th Social Science comprises 5 sub-subjects: History, Civics, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, where each sub-subject will have 20% weightage in the examination. You will be given 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete the exam paper. The Bihar Board 10th Exam will be conducted for 5 compulsory subjects, wherein students need to score at least 150 out of 500 marks to be declared pass. Bihar Board Class 10 Social Science Practical Blueprint 2025-26

The Bihar Board Class 10 Social Science practical exam will be conducted for 20 marks. The marking scheme of the BSEB Class 10 Social Science practical exam is tabulated below:

Bihar Board Class 10 Social Science Question Paper Pattern 2025-26

The BSEB 10th Social Science exam paper is divided into two sections- Section A and Section B. Section A will comprise 80 objective-type questions, out of which students need to attend only 40 compulsory questions. If more than 40 questions are answered, the first 40 will be considered. Each question will carry 1 mark. Section B will consist of Short Answer Type Questions of 5 sub-subjects of Social Science. Each question will be worth 2 marks.
  • There will be 6 Short Answer Type Questions (Q. No. 1-6) from History, of which any 3 questions are to be answered.
  • There will be 4 Short Answer Type Questions (Q. No. 9-12) from Political Science, of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
  • 4 Short Answer Type Questions (Q. No. 15-18) will be from Economics, of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
  • 6 Short Answer Type Questions (Q. No. 21-26) will be from Geography, of which any 3 questions are to be answered.
  • Disaster  Management will have  4  Short  Answer  Type  Questions  (Q. No. 29-32), of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
  • Moreover, there will be  8  Long  Answer Type  Questions (Q. Nos. 7, 8, 13, 14, 19, 20, 27, 28), each carrying 4 marks.
  • It is compulsory to attend one  Long  Answer  Type  Question from  History,  Political Science, Economics and Geography each.
