About KIITEE 2026 Exam Pattern

The KIITEE 2026 exam pattern outlines the format of the entrance test for all UG and PG programmes offered at KIIT. Most of the courses may have varying subject combinations and mark distribution, hence we advise you to check the test structure as per your chosen programme/ programmes.

The exam is conducted in online Computer-Based Test mode. Overall, there are 120 questions which are MCQ in nature and have to be attempted in the English language. The total duration is 150 minutes. For every correct answer, you will be awarded +4, and for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

KIITEE Exam Pattern 2026: Important Points

Here are some important points related to the KIITEE 2026 exam pattern:

  • Questions are objective type (MCQs). Each question gives 4 answer choices, and you must select the one that seems most accurate.
  • Your response is recorded by clicking the circle next to the option you choose.
  • Each right answer will get you 4 marks. A wrong attempt results in a deduction of 1 mark, so avoid making guesses.
  • The test will automatically end once the 150-minute time limit is over.
  • If any examinee misses appearing for the test on the scheduled day for any reason, no re-exam will be arranged. The exam date will not change, even if it falls on a public holiday.

How to Attempt KIITEE 2026: Test-Taking Process

  • Once you’ll enter the computer lab, you’ll be guided to your assigned system by the invigilator.
  • A welcome screen appears, and you’ll receive a rough sheet for calculations.
  • Before the test begins, you must wait until the exam supervisor signals the start.
  • A short briefing about the test rules and process is given by the invigilator.
  • Then log in to the system using the password printed on the admit card and read the on-screen instructions.
  • When the technical staff activates the test, the screen updates, and the timer becomes active.
  • Once the test starts, you can’t leave your seat or take breaks until it ends.
  • Every question has four alternatives; pick the one that feels correct by clicking the circle next to it.
  • Questions you answer turn green; while those not attempted remain blue.
  • If you want to revisit a question later, use the “Mark for Review” option.
  • You can change any response at any time by clicking the new answer before submitting.
  • After finishing all questions in one section, you will be directed to the upcoming segment.
  • If you need help at any point, raise your hand, and the proctor will assist.
