The NIMCET 2026 Syllabus has been thoroughly revised by the conducting NITs to offer clarity on the expected exam topics. This decision comes as a result of redefining the existing curriculum to better align with the MCA program requirements. The revised syllabus has particularly focused changes in the non-Mathematics sections. Apart from this, the Analytical Ability and Computer Awareness sections have also been heavily revised to fit the new course curriculum. Topics from each subject, such as Vectors from Mathematics, sections of Computer Hardware and others, have been removed or revised to fit the new syllabus structure.

The full form of the BCA course is Bachelor of Computer Applications, and it is a three-year UG course. The BCA course focuses on the fundamentals of computer applications and software development. Overall, the BCA syllabus & subjects are covered and divided into a total of six semesters. The BCA Subjects 1st year include Programming Principles, Algorithms, Business Communication, Mathematics I and II, Organization Behavior, Digital Electronics, and Computer Organization. BCA subjects, semester-wise, are designed to provide students with a strong academic base for enhanced career opportunities in the IT Field.
