ANM and GNM are diploma degrees in the field of Nursing, whereas BSc Nursing is an undergraduate degree course. All three courses cater to the field of nursing and healthcare. ANM GNM full form is Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery and General Nursing Midwifery. To shed some light on the differences between ANM, GNM, and BSc Nursing courses, the ANM course typically emphasizes training students about basic healthcare, nursing facilities, etc. Whereas the GNM course is skill-based and trains students to assist doctors and surgeons in post-surgical patient healthcare and cater to related requirements. As for the BSc Nursing course, students are offered an in-depth knowledge of various aspects of Nursing, along with extensive knowledge about patient care and community medicine.

The basic difference between ANM and GNM is the course duration and the structure. The ANM Nursing course lasts for 2 years and focuses on theoretical knowledge, whereas the GNM Nursing course duration lasts 3.5 years and equips students with the skills required to tend to post-surgical patients, thus emphasizing practical knowledge. In terms of career prospects, GNM graduates have a higher chance of securing high-end nursing jobs at established hospitals when compared to ANM course graduates. Karnataka MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2026 admissions are expected to be held online in Septemebr 2026. The KEA authorities will administer the admission process on the official website.  Students will be selected based on the NEET PG exam 2026 scores. WB ANM Mop-Up Round Seat Allotment Result 2025: Seat Confirmation Instructions

• Seat Acceptance Dates - The seat acceptance window is now open and shall accept seat confirmation till December 16, 2025 .
• Seat Acceptance Fee- Candidates who have been allotted seats for the first time should pay the seat acceptance fee online, for Rs 1000 to access the seat allotment order.
• Allotment Order- Once the seat acceptance fee is paid, the Seat Allotment Order will be issued for candidates to download and carry while reporting to the institute.
• Reporting to the Institute- Candidates must carry their original documents and report to the institute and confirm their admissions. Candidates should confirm admission before the deadline, as this is the mop-up round and there will be no further counselling rounds.

Government Jobs after ANM Nursing include job profiles like Staff Nurses, Nursing Supervisors, Military Nurses, and Medical Assistants. Students either have to crack an entrance exam or interview to get their dream job. These entrance exams are conducted both at the state and national levels. Some of the popular entrance exams that are conducted to recruit ANM Nursing graduates for government jobs are the RRB Staff Nurse, UPPSC Staff Nurse Exam, and AIIMS Nursing Officer Exam. 

Rajasthan GNM Admissions 2026 will be held in August 2026. As per the last year schedule, the registration process for GNM admission in Rajasthan started in August, 2026. The Department of Medical, Health, and Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan, will be conducting the Rajasthan GNM admission 2026 in online mode. Students who have a domicile certificate for 10 years will be eligible to apply for the Rajasthan GNM Admission 2026.
