Yes, you can join the Indian Naval Academy, Kannur, after passing grade 12, but not directly. You can join the academy either through the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam or the 10+2 cadet entry scheme. Both of these options require you to have physics, chemistry, and mathematics in grade 12 as compulsory subjects. There is no official website for the college to provide information about admissions & other processes. You can try to contact the college directly or visit for more information about admissions.

Dear Student,

JEE Main scores are used for shortlisting candidates for the Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy (INA), Kannur.

Under this, candidates send their applications to the academy, which sets a shortlisting criterion based on JEE Main exam ranks. The shortlisted candidates have to then undergo a 5-day assessment by the Service Selection Board, based on which candidates are recommended for admission into the academy.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any other queries.

Thank you.
