Continuing the academic excellence, this year, 14 IMS Ghaziabad students from various programmes achieved the highest marks in their exams at Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) in Meerut. These outstanding students earned 5 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Among the top performers were Himanshi Vashney (BCA), Kirti Saini (BAJMC), Lakshya Virvani (Biotechnology), Mauli Vaish (Microbiology), and Shivangi Singh Bhardwaj (M.I.B.). They received their gold medals at the university's 36th convocation ceremony, attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and CCSU Vice Chancellor Sangeeta Shukla. The two-day Young India Parliament program, hosted by Young India and IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus), concluded with a resounding success. The event aimed to educate young students about the Indian Parliament's workings and foster their civic engagement. Inaugurated by renowned personalities including Atul Garg (MP, Ghaziabad) and CA Vidur Chharia, the program saw active participation from students across seven states. During the event, participants discussed and debated various issues assigned to their respective party teams. Young India, a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is dedicated to promoting civic engagement and leadership among Indian youth.A total of 150 students were selected from 62 schools to participate in the program. After rigorous deliberations, 15 winning students were chosen to advance to the national round. The winners were felicitated during the valedictory session by distinguished guests Ranjan Dwivedi (Ex-IPS) and Arvind Kumar (Chief Vigilance Officer, IPS).
A Management Development Program (MDP) on HR Analytics for Effective Decision Making was successfully conducted on July 20, 2024, jointly organized by the Ghaziabad Management Association (GMA) and IMS Ghaziabad. The program aimed to equip participants with knowledge of HR analytics and its application in business. Industry experts and academicians shared insights on HR data management, analysis, and tools. Over 40 professionals attended the event, which concluded with a Q&A session. There were a total of 4 sessions conducted: the first session talked about HR Analytics in Business and the second session discussed the evolutionary process of human resource analysis in business. In the third session, human resource data management and analysis were explained in detail, and in the fourth session, applications of human resource analytics tools were explained.
IMS Ghaziabad UC Campus organised a yoga programme on the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day. In the program, Yoga Guru Dr. Deepa Goyal taught ways to increase flexibility and fitness of the body through yoga postures. While talking about Ashtanga Yoga, she explained the importance of Pranayam in detail and also conducted many yogas.
The program was inaugurated by the Institute Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Dr. Deepa Goyal (Department Head, CDC), Dr. Gagan Varshney (Department Head, Computer Science) and Dr. Pooja Rastogi (Department Head, Management Department) by offering flowers to Maa Saraswati. The faculty and staff of the institute participated enthusiastically in the programme. On this particular occasion, the director gave the attendees a lesson on the significance and purpose of yoga as well as advice to practise daily for a healthy body.
