NIT GATE Cutoff 2025 - Check Previous Years' Cutoff, MTech Admission Process

NIT GATE Cutoff 2025: The GATE 2025 cutoff for NIT has been released at ccmt.admissions.nic.in in the form of opening and closing ranks. The NIT GATE cutoff 2025 is the cutoff mark that students must score to get NIT M.Tech admission. The highest NIT cutoff for MTech admission ranges from 800-850 each year, with the lowest cutoff being 350-400. However, scoring between 600-700 in the GATE exam is considered satisfactory, as it will put you in a good position to secure NIT MTech admission. The NIT MTech cutoff for top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, and NIT Surathkal is usually higher than that of newly established NITs. The expected NIT Trichy GATE cutoff ranges between 700 to 800 for general students and 200 to 400 for SC/ST students. Whereas the expected GATE 2025 cutoff for newly established NIT Goa ranges between 400 to 700 for general students and 200 to 350 for SC/ST/ students. Till the GATE 2025 cutoff, IIT NIT is not available; you can check out the expected NIT GATE cutoff 2025 and the previous year's NIT cutoff GATE on this page.

LATEST UPDATE – CCMT Seat Allotment 2025 Round 1 has been released. CCMT Cutoff 2025 for Round 1 has also been released on the official website ccmt.admissions.nic.in.

GATE-qualified students must register and appear in CCMT counselling, during which MTech seats for NITs will be allocated. The CCMT seat allotment 2025 round 1 has been released. Students scoring the GATE 2025 cutoff will be given admission to the IIT NIT M.Tech programs. The NIT cutoff for MTech is prepared based on factors like the number of students applying for NIT admission, the number of seats available, the student's performance in the GATE exam, the student's category, etc. Check the NIT GATE cutoff 2025 and the previous year's NIT MTech cutoff on this page.

Dear student,

With your score of 10720 in NIMCET, it seems difficult for you to get admission in any of the NITs. The top NITs like Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad usually close admissions for the General category within the top 50-300 ranks. Even for reserved categories, the ranks typically do not extend into five digits.

For other participating NITs like Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Agartala generally remain within the top 1000-2000 for the General/OBC-NCL categories. For SC/ST categories, some may go up to 4000-8000, but 10720 is still a very difficult rank to get into any of the participating NITs.

Unfortunately, with an All India Rank of 10720, your chances of getting admission into any of the NIMCET participating NITs (National Institutes of Technology) is highly unlikely for the MCA programme. Based on previous years' cut-off trends, it will be difficulut for you to get a seat even if you belong to the reserved categories basis last year's trend. The competition is extremely high for these limited seats (around 800-1000 seats across all NITs).

You can try for other universities like AKTU, GGSIPU, HBTU, UoH and state government aided universities. You might need to appear for state exams like MAH MCA CET for Maharashtra, OJEE for Odisha, PGCET for Karnataka, etc. for admission to state universities.

With an an OBC rank of 803 in the NIMCET 2025 exam, you have a good chance of getting admission into several NITs such as NIT Raipur, NIT Krukshetra and NIT Jamshedpur.

JoSAA eligibility requires 2025 requires a passing grade in all the subjects in your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination. While the 75% (or 65%) criterion is important for the general/reserved category eligibility, it's also important that you pass all the subjects in your Class 12. If you have further queries regarding Engineering course admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.

Hi, if your degree results are expected in May or June, you can still apply for the NIMSET 2025 (Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Engineering, and Technology) admission exam. Here's what you must understand while applying:

  • Make sure you meet all of the qualifying criteria for NIMSET 2025, which often include having completed or being in the final year of your degree. Even if your results are waiting, you can apply with the assumption that you will meet the qualifying requirements whenever they are available.
  • The NIMCET 2025 application form is expected to be released online at nimcet.admissions.nic.in in March 2025, with the last date for submission likely to be in the third week of April 2025.
  • If your degree results are due after the application deadline, see if the application form permits you to provide provisional details (like marks obtained so far). Many examinations allow applicants in this position to apply after their results are released.
  • While you wait for your results, ensure that you have other required documents ready, such as your ID proof, previous academic records, and other relevant certificates. When the results are announced, you can quickly update or submit the necessary information.
  • Once your degree result is announced, finalize your application by updating it with the final marks or certificates. Just ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements before the deadline.

I hope this is helpful!
