'Nishchay', the student-led social responsibility committee at NMIMS Hyderabad, is a testament to the institution's commitment to societal impact. The committee, headed by Subhraneel Baruah and co-headed by Priyanka Raheja, comprises 69 students who actively engage in fostering change and contributing meaningfully to society.
On July 30, 2023, Nishchay visited the TOUCH orphanage in Hyderabad, engaging with the children through games and gifts. The committee also participated in the ‘Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta: A Step Towards Building a Clean Nation’ initiative and organised a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Mahabubnagar. The event received participation from various schools and an overwhelming response from 104 donors. Nishchay is planning the ‘Joy of Giving Week’, a fundraising and collection drive for marginalised communities. The committee aims to assist NMIMS Hyderabad students in understanding societal issues and making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.
NMIMS Hyderabad School of Law recently inaugurated a new Moot Court Hall, marking a significant addition to the institution's academic and legal infrastructure. The hall is designed to enhance the academic experience of law students by providing them with a realistic courtroom experience. The inauguration was attended by Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, Judge at the Telangana High Court, Justice B. Papireddy, Principal District and Sessions Judge at Mahbubnagar, and other dignitaries. The Moot Court aims to foster skills such as legal research, persuasive argumentation, and public speaking among students.

Shimir Mishra, a first-year Master in Business Administration student from NMIMS School of Business Management Hyderabad, has made history by winning the national level case study competition, 'Niti Shastra'. The competition was organised by the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune in August 2023.
'Niti Shastra' comprises three rounds, including an MCQ round, a case study analysis, and a presentation round. The MCQ round includes 30 questions on government policy, economies, rates, public figures, and current affairs, with a requirement to answer at least 26 questions correctly to progress. Mishra, with his strong knowledge of current affairs and passion for case study analysis, cleared this round with ease.
In the second round, participants are given a real-life case study and must prepare a PowerPoint presentation outlining the key aspects and proposing solutions. The final round involves an expert jury assessing the presentations and asking students to demonstrate how their proposed solutions could be implemented in reality.
Prior to 'Niti Shastra', Shimir had participated in 12 major case study competitions, including Foresight & Havoc from IIM Bangalore, Flipkart Wired, TVS Credit, Amazon, HUL Lime, and more. Despite advancing in the preliminary rounds of all these competitions, he had not achieved success in the later stages. However, these experiences taught him perseverance and motivated him to participate in more contests.

KIITEE 2026 MBA exam has been scheduled to be held from January 16 to January 18, 2026. The exam will be conducted in an online mode and will include a total of 120 multiple-choice questions.
