SDDGPI actively participated in World No Tobacco Day, observed globally on May 31st. The Department of Public Health Dentistry organised a program focusing on empowering students and the community. Through the event, a dental camp at Bajrang Bhawan, Narayangarh, offered free check-ups, treatments, and counseling on oral health and tobacco cessation. A pledge ceremony witnessed participants vowing to quit tobacco for a healthier life. At SDDGPI, Barwala, a lecture by Dr. Surbhi Jindal (Civil Hospital, Ambala) educated students on the dangers of tobacco. A poster making competition and meme/reel creation contest raised awareness in a creative way.

The event was hosted by Dr. Akanksha followed by an inspiring opening speech by Mr. Barjinder Suri, TPO. The event was organised to recognise the achievement of 116 students who received offers from top companies. The ceremony included speeches from faculty and students and a cake cutting ceremony. The league followed a thrilling T20 format, ensuring fast-paced action and nail-biting encounters. With Five teams competing against each other in a round-robin format, followed by knockout stages, the schedule was packed with back-to-back matches. Matches were held on May 02, 2024 to May 06, 2024, allowing students to unwind and cheer for their favorite teams amidst their academic commitments. Bihar Regiments Team was able to mark themselves as Winners whereas Haryana Team was among the finalists.

She then shared various ideas and tips to help the students get good jobs. It served as an eye-opening session for the students. She also emphasised the importance of technical development for the students.
