UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club participated and demonstrated exceptional prowess in Convergence 2.0, the Area Contest of Division C, District 98, held on 23. 2025 March, securing outstanding results in two key categories. In the International Speech Contest, club members TM Aastha (Secretary) and TM Shibagni (VP-Education) showcased remarkable oratory skills, delivering compelling and thought-provoking presentations that resonated with the judges. Similarly, in the Table Topics Contest, TM Abhishek (VP-Membership) and TM Shibagni (VP-Education) exhibited remarkable spontaneity and quick thinking, effectively articulating impromptu speeches with confidence and creativity. TM Sanchari (Treasurer) presented the club report of last six months educational session highlighting Club Awards, Executive Committee Training and PR activities. The club's performance highlighted the members' strong communication abilities and strategic speech preparation, reflecting their commitment to personal and professional development through Toastmasters.
The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur hosted an expert inspection team from the Global Human Resource Development Centre (GHRDC)—a prominent ranking body for BCA, MCA, and Engineering programmes. The visiting panel, comprising Ms. Mekhla Sinha and Ms. Aradhana, began the evaluation with a Central Presentation delivered by the Registrar. The presentation highlighted UEM Jaipur’s strengths, including internship and placement opportunities, a thriving startup culture, national rankings, patents, IIC activities, and research publications. Following the presentation, the team visited key facilities across Academic Block 1 (Engineering) and Academic Block 2 (BCA & MCA), including advanced labs like the GSS Lab, Solar Lab, Innovation Lab, IoT Lab, and the Mechanical Workshop. Heads of Departments showcased their departments’ achievements, such as industrial training, strong alumni networks, and multiple placement offers. The inspection concluded with appreciation from the GHRDC panel for the dedicated faculty, collaborative academic environment, and the university’s commitment to excellence.
Students, teachers, and researchers at the University of Engineering & Management Jaipur have set up an Industrial Automation and Robotics Laboratory at the university. The entire laboratory, the equipment, the components, and their interaction have been designed and developed by the students, teachers, and researchers of the university. They have not been purchased or procured from outside. This laboratory at UEM Jaipur will help the students attain detailed knowledge of industrial VFD operations applicable to raw material handling conveyor systems and boiler feed water flow systems.
The newly integrated various motor feeder systems, like the star-delta starter, reverse forward starter, and DOL starter panel, to the SCADA system for remote motor operation applications in various processes like boiler feed water flow, gas flow in the burner, etc., have also been developed. In this laboratory, the institute provides hands-on training for the students on various feeder panels, VFD installation with conveyor systems, VFD programming (like ABB and Yaskawa), PLC programming, SCADA development and In-loop testing, FAT and SAT test for the system, etc. Also, it trains students on the electrical design of large processes and control panel system design on software platforms like AutoCAD, ETAP, EPLAN-Pro, etc.
The Codesta Coding Club of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, in association with IIC and IQAC, recently organised two exciting coding competitions as part of the Techutopia 2023 tech fest. The events, named Crack the Code and Code Battle, aimed to provide students with a platform to hone their coding and debugging skills while having fun. The Crack the Code competition was focused on debugging, with the goal of making students comfortable with identifying and fixing errors in code. The event was held in the Central lab of the CSE Department and featured two rounds.
In Round 1, all participants were given four questions to debug, while Round 2 was a coding round held on the Hackkerrank platform. The Code Battle competition, on the other hand, was a coding contest hosted on the Hackkerrank platform. Participants competed against each other and learned valuable problem-solving skills in the process. The event aimed to make participants apply their logical skills in solving real-time problems. The competitions were held on March 19 2023 and saw a strong turnout from interested students of all years. The presence of Prof. Dr Mrinal Kanti Sarkar, HOD CSE department, added to the excitement of the event and motivated the students to do their best. The students enjoyed the competitions thoroughly, and the organisers hope that they will continue to practice coding and exploring new ideas and solutions every day. The winners were congratulated, and the organisers thanked all the students for their involvement in the competitions, thereby making them a grand success.
UEM Jaipur's ACM student chapter organized the Web-A-Thon on March 18, 2023. This event was organized for the objective to motivate students in creating their own portfolio websites that aimed at enabling them to showcase their skills and creativity as well as designing their curriculum vitae. According to the organizing committee, having a digital portfolio website in today's digital age is crucial to stand out and companies also value digital assets.
During the event, Biswanath Mukherjee, a 1st-year CSE student, won first prize; Subham Kumar Singh, a 3rd-year CSE student, won second prize; and Kshitij Verma, a 3rd-year CSE-AIML student, won third prize. The event was a success with students showcasing their innovative ideas and thoughts while creating their portfolio websites.

On March 19, 2023, the students of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM) in Jaipur, India, organised a Robo Soccer event. The purpose of the event was to help students develop skills in designing, building, and modifying wireless Bluetooth-controlled robots, as well as learning how to code in embedded C.
The Robo Soccer event was open to multiple teams from various departments within UEM Jaipur, with each team consisting of five students. The event provided an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in robotics, programming, and teamwork.
The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Prof. Souvik Saha and Prof. Surajit Sur, along with student coordinators Tarun Verma, Akash Dutta Banik, and Adarsh Kumar Choudhary. UEM Jaipur conducted the 2nd International Conference in collaboration with AARHUS University, Denmark from November 25-26, 2022. The conference topic was Intelligent Energy Management in Smart Cities (ICIEMSC 2022).
