BTech Computer Science and Engineering offers 10 specialised tracks, drawing different cutoffs. For CSE in AI, cyber-security, and similar tracks, expect the JEE Main 2026 cutoff to hover under 300,000, while for other tracks under the same specialisation, the cutoff can reach as high as AIR 450,000. Reserved categories see adjusted ranges to accommodate reservation policies. These estimates help students gauge their chances early.

  • General category ranks may drop by 20% at the lower end compared to 2025's 250,000, indicating higher selectivity.
  • OBC cutoff may improve by 12.5%, with ranks shifting from 400,000 to 350,000 minimum.
  • EWS and SC categories can show 9% reductions for each in closing ranks.
  • BTech Petroleum Engineering can see a 7.7% increase in closing ranks compared to 2025 cutoff in JEE Main for the general candidates.
  • Overall percentile equivalent rises to 82-85 for the BTech admission.
