How to Calculate Marks Using Answer Key and Response Sheet?

You can easily calculate your speculative scores in the WB JECA exam with the help of both the answer key and the response sheet. We have mentioned the steps here to calculate the marks for the answer key. 

• Download the response sheet as well as the answer key from the official website of the exam after its release. 

• Now, start by matching the answers one by one with the answer key and check if the answers are correct or incorrect in the response sheet. 

• For correct answers for category 1, each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer. And for category 2, each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks, and no negative marking will be done for the incorrect answer. 

• Both categories have different marking schemes, so calculate the scores accordingly. 

• At last, calculate the final score of both categories; this will be your tentative score in the exam. 

You should know that the final score will not be exactly similar to the tentative score, but it will give you an idea about your performance in the exam.
