HBSE 10th Grading System 2026
The HBSE 10th Grading System 2026 ranges from ‘A1,’ representing the highest grade, to ‘E,’ the lowest. To qualify for a passing certificate, students must attain at least a ‘D1’ grade. Any grade below ‘D1’ is considered a fail. This grading system not only ensures a fair evaluation of students' academic abilities but also highlights the importance of consistent performance in both theoretical and practical assessments.

Students who do not secure the minimum passing marks in the HBSE Class 10th exams will have an opportunity to improve their results by appearing in the HBSE compartment exam 2026. This option is available to students who fail in one or two subjects, allowing them to reattempt those specific subjects and pass the exam. On the basis of marks scored in each subject, the board will provide grades. Different ranges of marks will be given different grades. Among all grades, A1 will be the highest grade. IT will be provided to students on scoring between 91 to 100 marks.
For each subject in HBSE 10th exam, students need to score the passing marks in both HBSE 10th Theory and Practical exams separately. If they fail in any of the parts, they will have to appear for the subject again.
