Cutoff for integrated bsc msc biotechnology and can I get admission on 12 marks based

- MufreenUpdated On January 12, 2026 10:16 AM

At Lovely Professional University (LPU), the cutoff for the integrated B.Sc-M.Sc Biotechnology program is generally based on 12th class marks, especially in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with performance in the LPUNEST entrance test. Scoring only 12 marks in Class 12 is far below the eligibility requirement, so admission would not be possible. LPU requires minimum qualifying marks in the relevant subjects, usually around 50% or higher, to be considered for selection.

Hi there, the eligibility for B Sc Biotech and MSc Biotech is 60 percent in the previous qualification an the admission is subject to LPUNEST. As far as cut off is concerned it keeps varying every year. You concentrate on scoring well in LPUNEST. Rest all will be in your favour. Good Luck

Dear Mufreen,

Yes, you can apply for integrated B.Sc M.Sc biotechnology at the Central University of Kashmir on the basis of class 12 scores. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent on the grading scale of respective boards/universities (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) at the 10+2 level are eligible for admission. Note that, you would be required to apply online via the CUCET website. Offline applications will be rejected.

Hope this helps!
