Plant Taxonomy and Embryology (plant classification, nomenclature, floral structure, pollination, seed and fruit types, and types of germination)
Plant Ecology and Phytogeography (geographical distribution of plants and spatial relationships)
Diversity of Archegoniates and Plant Anatomy (plants with archegonium structures and anatomical features including tissue systems and meristems)
Diversity of Microbes and Cryptogams (Thallophyta), including Algae, Fungi, and Bryophytes, Viruses, and basic plant cell biology
Basics of Microbiology, Phycology, and Cell Biology concepts related to plants
Practical Lab classes may include flower dissection, study of ovules, types of fruits, inflorescences, and identification of algae, fungi, bryophytes, and pteridophytes
